Film Production ~ Weddings
Even a well versed book of superlatives couldn't conjure up the images and essence of the wedding experience; however, it is the goal of the producers, directors, composers, and editors at Gillingham Studios to do just that – Capture the images and essence of your wedding story and present it in a digitally mastered movie.
How Is It Done....

Our Executive Wedding Producer, Sarah L Gallegos, will meet with you and your family to get your itinerary leading up to the wedding day. The filming will usually start approximately 3 months prior to the wedding. The bride and groom will also be given an opportunity to meet and get aquatinted with the director and camera crew. (These guys will be a part of your lives for the next few months!) Once Sarah has the itinerary, she will facilitate the taping schedule and give both the bride and groom a copy.

The Production of your film actually starts approximately 4-6 months prior to the wedding. The director and composer will meet with you to outline the filming sequences (your ideas and expectations will be most welcomed.) Gillingham Studios uses only original scores for the wedding film. Our Composer, Robert R Gallegos, will write and perform all of the music in your film.

The director will request for photos from both the bride and groom: Childhood photos. Dating photos. These photos will be used in the beginning of the film to highlight the lives of the couple. At the beginning of the 3 month filming, the bride and groom will be interviewed separately in a soft and warm atmosphere. The questions will be given to the couple prior to the filming; however, we encourage the couple not to share their thoughts with each other. The parents will also be interviewed (if possible). The "Bride's Father Interview" is often the most touching moment in the film....
The film will capture the bride and groom at their respective fittings. The camera crew will spend at least an hour with each of the couple capturing the "daily" activity of their choice. This enlightens the film's ability to view the couple's independence and essence outside of the relationship.

Prior to the wedding rehearsal day, the bride and groom will be interviewed together. The goal for this portion of the film is to capture any last minute thoughts and expectations of the couple prior to the wedding day.

The film up to this point will be ready for a pre-screening by all of the family members and the wedding party at the rehearsal dinner.

On the wedding day, the bride and groom will be covered by a separate camera crew as they prepare for the wedding ceremony. The ceremony will be filmed by two mobile cameras.

Finally, The reception will be briefly covered by both camera crews.

The Final Master Copy will be delivered to the couple within 2 weeks after the wedding.
